
Thanks to Beta-Coco, Yochidamai Wins 2020 Presidential Election
FMIPA UNS – Beta-coco is a young coconut water powder enriched with beta-glucan as a supplement to prevent complications of pregnancy and childbirth. Pregnant women experience fluctuations in the work of the immune system so that there are certain phases that are prone to degenerative diseases related to immunity. In addition to micronutrients, pregnant women also need adequate dietary fiber intake. One type of dietary fiber that has the potential to be consumed by pregnant women is beta-glucan.
This was stated by Yochidamai Akhsanitaqwin in front of the jury for the Selection of Outstanding Students at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at R. Building C Session on Wednesday, February 19, 2019. Yochipeace is a 2017 Biology Study Program student. His concern for the health of pregnant women has led him to conduct research on good nutrition and perfect for pregnant women. And thanks to this research (Beta-Coco), led him to win first place.

The selection of outstanding students at the Mathematics and Natural Sciences level was attended by 8 participants. This number corresponds to the number of existing study programs, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Pharmacy, Statistics and Environmental Sciences. Prior to the presentation assessment, a file assessment is carried out including an assessment of superior achievement, written work and also GPA. In the presentation assessment, the participants’ English proficiency was also assessed.
Besides the first winner, the jury also determined the second winner, Muhammad Salahuddin A. from the Physics study program. In addition to getting trophies and certificates, the first and second place winners also get coaching money. [MnR/MIPA]
