Our History

Before FMIPA was established, a basic science lecturer group in UNS who were supported by the head of the university has been cooperating with the International Development Program (IDP) Australia. They collaborated in hosting workshops and consultations from 1986 to 1994. The establishment of FMIPA with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology programs was supported by expert lecturer staff from various faculties who graduated with basic science backgrounds, and 90% of them hold master’s and doctoral degrees. They were from the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Agriculture, and Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Besides that, new lecturers were also recruited through the student work system and candidates for civil servants (CPNS).
