
Workshop on Eel Cultivation, Expensive Japanese Restaurant Food
The Biology study program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Sebelas Maret University held a workshop on the cultivation of eel (anguilla bicolor) for two days Monday-Tuesday, April 4-5, 2016. The workshop was held in the courtroom of building C with Dr. Agung Budiharjo, M.Si (eel researcher from UNS) and Ir. Nazmul Irfan (Director of UNS Sidat).
Eel or in Japanese known as unagi is not an ordinary food, this food is one of the most expensive foods in Japanese restaurants. This was conveyed by Dr. Agung Budiharjo in front of the participants.
Workshop participants are not only from Surakarta and its surroundings, but also from Pacitan. Including Mr. Rendra from the Glasello Lorok Pacitan group and 8 members.
It is hoped that from this workshop participants will know the business opportunities of eel cultivation and can meet export qualification standards. This was conveyed by Siti Lusi Arum Sari as the chairman of the committee.[]
